Amsterdam - day 7

The day after Queensday was a slow start for Dave and especially for Tim. After a 9:30 breakfast I headed of to explore the old antique shops and the small commercial art galleries. Queensday left its mark on the streets. Paper, plastic cups, glass bottles; some broken, and bits of food littered the streets. The clean up had starter, however it seamed to be very slow.

Window shopping was the outcome of my adventure as the pricers were quite high. I did see some interesting contemporary and innovative artworks. John you will be interested to see the catalogues of the exhibitions.

About 2:00 pm I went back to Leidse Plein and met Dave who was in front of the 't Black & White Cafe, where wireless access to the internet is free. Dave was video Skyping Beck. He informed me that Tim was still asleep, something I was ready to try. Dave then went skateboarding at an indoor park, Tim looked fore something to eat, and I went back to the hotel for a sleep, after buying tickets for the Boom Chicago show 'Me, MySpace and iPod'.

Experiencing this show on our last night in Amsterdam was one of the highlights. Very cleaver show especially when they did a skit about MySpace. Actually after an onstage interview with Dave, gathering information about his MySpace 'friends' and with reference to his images, they had a story line. A short video coming soon to: http://www.exportquality.net/dave.mov
